Twins!!!!

For my first real post I thought I would have big news! I went to my first OB appointment on Thursday. When Dr. Fowers did the ultrasound he said,"Oh look here's baby A, and here's baby B. Congrats your having twins!" He kept asking me if I had any questions. I was too shocked to think about questions. I asked if I needed to do anything different. He said I might want to start looking for a mini-van. We have had that for a year. We got it so we could take other people like the girls friends places with us. We will be back to only fitting our family.
Josh was out of town, and my mom was staying with us, helping out, or should I say doing everything, (thank goodness for my mom!) I showed her the ultrasound and said,"See here is baby a and here is baby B." She said,"I knew you were having twins." She was really excited.
Jodi called soon after and asked how my appointment went and if they did an ultrasound. I was torn between waiting to tell Josh before I told anyone else, but I couldn't handle it! I said,"Yea come over and see it. She came over and looked at it. It is kind of deceiving though, because there is 4 pictures the first one with both babies the second is just one babies heartbeat, the third is the other babies heartbeat and the 4th( below) with the best of both babies. She was shocked too!
When the girls got home from school I sat them down and showed them the pictures, thinking I would have to point it out. Jordan had just learned about ultrasounds at school. She took one look at it and said,"Oh my gosh it's twins!!!!" When the girls all talked about what they wanted the baby to be (when we thought there was only one) Cassady would say I want one boy and one girl. Jordan turned and hugged Cassie and said,"You were right Cassie it is two babies." Cassie just keeps asking if I am having two babies "For Reals".
Cassady wanted to tell grandpa so she called him.
I decided to wait and tell Josh when he got home. I didn't want to tell him on the phone.
The next day I couldn't handle it anymore and called Chelsie to tell her I knew she was going to be out of town for the weekend, so who would she tell. She couldn't believe it!
Josh was going to be home the next day, so I told the girls they had to keep the secret until then. About an hour afterward Hannah came over and when she walked in Cass grabbed the ultrasound pictures and said, "Look Hannah twins!" We swore Hannah to secrecy until Sat.
Josh ended up having to catch a later flight on Friday and didn't get home until 1 am. We were all asleep. He slept in the basement. On Saturday morning I told Cassady go wake up dad and tell him to come upstairs and look at the baby pictures, but don't tell him how many babies there are. She went downstairs and said,"Dad come see the pictures of the babies". Kylee said,"Oh no she ruined it". I told her no dad won't pick up on that with cass saying it. Then we heard Cass say, "But dad I am not telling you how many babies there are." He came upstairs and looked at the pictures and said,"Twins really?" I said,"Yup". He said," Wow" Now he just keeps saying things like "We will need 2 highchairs ." "We are going to need 2 walkers."
I just keep thinking that 4 kids didn't seem like alot, but 5 kids seems like alot! We were just going to try one more time for a boy and now we could have 2 boys. I really hope, for Josh, that at least one is a boy!

Dr. Fowers put me on Zofran for the Hyperemesis Gravidarum (extreme morning sickness, didn't know it had a name till now). I was always mad that it was called morning sickness. It is not! My name for it was 24 hours a day, throw-up every half hour and try to stay alive sickness.
The Zofran is helping. I am not throwing-up anywhere near as much as with my other pregnancies. I still just don't feel good though. It is worse in the evenings. I have been telling people that if I was living at 100% before pregnancy, I was functioning at 2% with Cass's pregnancy or just barely exsisting, and right now I would say I am living at about 50%. I am out of bed for a few hours a day. I only lost 2 lbs at my last visit. I have to eat constantly. Nothing sounds good, but I have my baggie of Cheerios with me at all times. Dr Fowers said with 2 babies you get double the hormones and he would hate to see me without the medicine. He was really surprised to know that I lost 35 lbs with Cassady. He said let's not do that. It is my goal to stay hydrated and gain some weight and stay out of the hospital. He said I will probably not get over the sickness and it will last the whole 9 months. Then he told me I will only have to go to 37 weeks and then they will start me. That's 3 weeks off!!!! I am really greatful for the medication, it is just so hard to be sick at all.
We are excited and scared at the same time! How do breatfeed 2 Babies? How do you sleep at all with 2 babies? When we go on Vacation we will need 2 more plane tickets, 2 more meals, 2 more entrance fees. You get the idea, "Two more"!
