Baby Update

I had my Dr appointment on Friday instead of Thursday. The office called on Monday and asked to change it to Friday, because my Dr had a death in the family and couldn't be there on Thursday. I had to eat a normal meal and an hour later drink a glucose drink and an hour after that have my blood drawn. I had heard that the drink we really nasty and sweet. I was worried that I may have a problem keeping it down. It wasn't that bad. Tasted like that orange drink from McDonald's, just a little carbonated. So they drew my blood and told me that they would tell me the test results at my next appointment if everything was good and if it was bad they would call me right away. No phone call, so the results must be good.
Both babies heart beats are still really strong. My little stinker boy has flipped around. He is now breech. One is head down and one is breech which if the stays that way will lead to a c-section. He can still flip back.
I am having a lot of Braxton Hick's contractions and trying to pay more attention to them, to make sure they are just that. I really don't want to go into labor this early. I have been going to the rec center to walk with Chelcie and Jodi and I will not have a single contraction while I am walking, but will have them while sitting at the computer or laying in bed. Weird!
I have decided to start counting down to 37 weeks, taking off that last 3 weeks makes it sound better. I have 10 weeks left. My next appointment is on Feb 3 now and will be another ultrasound.

We have come up with a boy name. His name will be Andrew (my dad's name) Joshua (my husbands name)and we will call him A.J. As for a girl name, we are still debating some. We are leaning towards Addison or Addelyn. If you know any cute names starting with an A or a B, suggestions are still be taken. We do want their names to both start with an A or his name be an A name and hers be a B name since he is Baby A and She is Baby B.

Happy Birthday to Cassady!

Cassady turned 5 years old Thursday. I still think of her as being 3. She is such a joy. It took me 7 years after I had Kylee to decide I wanted another baby. I can't imagine our life's without her. She makes me laugh all the time. She is so imaginative and everything is a game of pretend. My favor tie is when she says, "Mom, let's pretend that your the mom and I'm your daughter." or when she pauses the game because she has to go to the bathroom she actually says, "pause the game." and hits a pretend button to pause the game. She is so excited to be 5.

Her choice of restaurant to go to for her birthday was McDonald's. Josh told her that he would take her to McDonald's the next day. She then chose Olive garden. We all were all more happy with that choice. She thought it was pretty cool that they sang to her and she got to blow out a candle. She doesn't like cake, so I didn't make her one. For breakfast, I made her sweet rolls and chocolate milk and I put a candle in her sweet roll. She wished for another bunk bed.

At Olive garden she kept asking, "When we get home we are opening presents, right mom." She got a Tag reading system, two Tag books and a carrying case.

Kylee gave her, her old MP3 player, so now she has her own. She thinks she is so big listening to it.

She got a package from Great Grandma Beal. Her favorite is to get mail. She sends us packages all the time. She was so excited to get all the little trinkets.

Happy Birthday Cass!

Our Weekend

We started our weekend by pulling the girls out of school on Friday and went down to the Draper Temple open house. We started out at a church and watched a video about temples. We were then loaded on a bus and driven up to the temple. It was a silent tour, meaning we just walked through on our own. It was beautiful.
That night we went to see my new nephew, Baby Carter. He is so cute. We forgot our camera though and have no pictures of it. We took pizza and had a nice time. Cassady and Hayden (my nephew) had so much fun running around playing. They even ran into each other and didn't tell anyone. Cassady has her second black eye from it.
On Saturday we decided to go to Tale of Desperaux with grandma and grandpa. It was a good movie. After the movie, we went stroller shopping. I think a good stroller is going to be really important. It is hard to find one that will work with 2 infant car seats. We think we found though. Now I just have to search the Internet for the best price.
On Sunday we celebrated My dad's 60th, Kirstla's 27th, and Cassady's 5th birthday. Cassady tried to blow out the candles before we sang.
We all went in on a GPS unit grandpa has been wanting. We toasted to Grandpa and his 60 years. The kids thought it was so much fun to have fancy cups and apple cider.
Cassady toasted by practically throwing her cup up in the air. Amazingly, not spilling.

On Monday we went to Build-a-bear. the girls got gift certificates for Christmas to make bears for the babies. They picked out a pink and blue bear. They put in cute little hearts that you can feel beating inside the bears chest. The helper lady put the bears on the machine that fills them with stuffing. Cassady got to step on the pedal to work the machine. After they sew up the bears you take them to a fluffing shower. You get to brush them and shower them with air.

The girls walked up and down isles looking for perfect outfits for the bears. (This is the expensive part.)

Then they took the clothing to dressing stations and got them all dressed up. The girls (still no name) bear was dressed up in a ballerina outfit.

A.J.'s bear was dressed up as a fireman. The lady asked Cass if she knew a fireman. Cass told her, "My grandpa's a fireman, but he got kicked out." We had to explain to Cass that retirement and being kicked out or fired are different things.

All done ready for names!

We then went to a computer to name the bears and get a birth certificate. This bears name was picked by Cass. It is Aleena.

This Bear's name, picked by Jordan and Ky, is Little A.J. After we were all done Jordan and Kylee decided that they were going to make a bear and split the cost and share him. They made a hockey bear. Not sure why,but now they are trying to split custody of him. We had a little money left over on the gift certificates, so we decided to let Cass make her own, and call it one of her birthday presents.
She made a Bunny.

She dressed her up as Tinkerbell. Of coarse the bunny was the most expensive animal there and the Tinkerbell outfit was one of the most expensive. Then she needed shoes.
Cass named her Miss Cutie!
It was a fun experience. We went for 2 bears and left with 4. The ironic thing is that I am always trying to get rid of stuffed animals. This weekend we added 4 more to our endless supply and even worse paid $140 for them. The experiance was worth it though. We did have a lot of fun and Cassady has been inseparable from her new bunny.
We finished up our weekend by meeting Grandma and Grandpa at Cassady's favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes.
I was able to do everything I wanted to, but I was really ready to be home. I was so tired. My back was killing me, but I slept really good for the first time in a long time.

Childhood Slavery or Service?

Our Stake started a program where we keep track of our service to others. Cassady has really gotten into this program and loves to put marks on the chart. She is always looking for service to do. Lately I have realized that she has been doing a lot of cleaning, so she can put marks on the chart. We will see how long this lasts, but until it gets old, I am enjoying it. She obviously enjoyed the painting.

I was so excited when I got on today to see my pregnancy ticker is at 100 days left and technically it is 21 days less than that since I will only go to 37 weeks. I am getting so uncomfortable lately. I am huge with 12 weeks left to go. There is no more room! I have been walking lately trying to get into some sort of shape. It is nice to get out with a friend and talk. I feel great afterwards. I am hoping to be able to keep walking. I am trying to keep busy so that days go by faster. Some days I really wear myself out.
Not the greatest pic, but wanted you to believe me when I said I was huge! (took it myself) I will be 26 weeks tomorrow and 6 months on Monday. Getting there one day at a time.

Went to my Doctor appointment today. Everything looks great. I start going in every 2 weeks now. I have had a few contractions a day, but my cervix is still long and nothing to worry about yet.
Both babies are head down, not that they can't flip, but I was excited. They both weigh 1 lb 10 oz. They Have a good solid membrane right down the middle. Which means I am giving them the nutrients they need, so that they are not stealing them from each other. I gained a crazy amount of weight again. Not much I can do about it though. I have to eat what sounds good or I do feel sick. I am going to have a lot of work to do after they get here.
My next appointment is in 2 weeks (the 22nd) with the Dr and next U/S in 4 weeks(the 2nd of Feb). When I got home I realized that I scheduled these two appointments on Cassady's birthday and my birthday. Two dates I have been looking forward to, because that would mean we are getting closer to babies. Jordan's birthday is March 15, after that we will be really close. I think it will go by faster going into the dr every 2 weeks.
I have felt a lot better. Have not thrown up in over 2 weeks. I have to keep my stomach full. Sometime I still get nauseous, but I can lay down and eventually it will go away. The gas is still crazy, but I am able to deal with better and it is not quite as painful. Laying down usually helps. I get really tired by evening. Thank goodness I have a great husband who handles dinner dishes (and the rest of the days dishes, still can't do dishes), cleans up, and puts kids to bed. I go up stairs and lay down and watch TV. It is crazy what Hormones can do to not only your body, but your brain. I am starting to look forward to getting my body back and being done with pregnancy forever.

3-D Ultrasound

I got my 3-D Ultrasound today and the babies are so squished in there that we could not get a sot of either of their faces. We got some interesting shots of body parts of each together.
He is on top showing us his bum and a leg. She is on bottom showing us her bum and a foot.

Her head and her foot. (I wish I could do that) His arm covering her face.

His face on top being kicked by her foot. She is already beating on him. It is amazing to see them in that much detail.
Everything went well. She said they both look great! Healthy and strong. He kept playing with his umbilical cord and she had a hard time getting his heart beat. Both weigh 1 pound 10 Ounces. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow.

Working Hard

Josh has been working hard to finish a closet in the toy room, which will soon be Jordan and Kylee's room. He came upstairs after sanding for a half a day and looked like this. I had a good laugh. He didn't understand why until I made him look in the mirror.
Cassady's new bed. It also has a bed that goes in the bottom space. It took us forever (mainly Josh) to put this together. It practically feels up the whole room. She kept wanting to go take very short naps. She is loving the desk.

She is ready to be a BIG Sister!
