NST

I went in for NST today. What is a NST? It stands for non-stress test. They check you in to the hospital, bracelet, gown, L&D room, and all. They put a monitor on each baby and measure their heart rates for 15 minutes. Here is the catch. Both babies had to hold still for that long. When I got there they found her heart rate right away, but it took them a half hour to find his. Then they lost it after he moved. They brought in an ultrasound machine and was able to get them both for awhile. Then she moved. You get the idea. Finally, the nurse left the room and said she was going to get some one else to try. She said here you play with it and see if you can find it. So I did and found both heartbeats and was able to keep them long enough! She told me I was hired. It was hard, because once they found the heart beats I didn't want to move, but I would either be too far on my back and start to get to the passing out stage, or my back or ribs or legs or what ever would ache so bad, I had to move.
They sent me home saying everything was fine. At that point it just seemed like a huge waste of time (3 and 1/2 hours) and money (It goes towards our deductible). Glad I don't have to go back for another one. Just my appointment on Friday and Baby day next Tuesday. Look at that countdown!!!!! So close. Hope it goes by fast!!!

Babies Room

Not a great picture. Whole room.
Addison's side of the room.
Their Closet. They have so much clothes. The right side is all wipes and the left all diapers with 3 more boxes in the garage. We have the best friends.
A.J.'s side of the room.
We think we are completely ready for these babies to get here. We finished there rooms the other day. Thanks to the help of my Dad, my Mom, Hannah, and Jodi. Cassady has a baby countdown, where we tied some little plastic babies on the side of the cribs and she takes one down every day and counts how many days are left. She does it when she first wakes up and wakes me up every morning, by coming in my room and saying only 7 days left mom.
It turned out so cute. Now we just need Babies to put in those beds.

More Dr Appointments

Well another baby update. Sorry if you are getting sick of them, but that is about the only thing going on in my life right now, just waiting for them to get here.
AJ is still head down, but Addison is now completely head up. Still good strong heartbeats and growing well. Still enough amniotic fluid. I am dilated to a 1, still.
Dr told me that he would like me to have an epidural. I told him no problems there, planning on it anyway. He said they would deliver AJ and then hopefully Addison will turn and be delivered normally. If she doesn't turn, he will reach in and grab her feet and pull her out breech. That is where the epidural will be really nice. Sounds fun, huh? So we will be praying for her to turn head down.
I go in on Tues for a non-stress test. They hook me up to two baby monitors and I get to sit there for 30-120 minutes. More fun!
I have a Dr. appointment next Friday and then on Tues, have babies!!!!
Hopefully it will go by fast!

April 7th!!!!!

35 Weeks and 1 day

I went to the Dr. on Friday. Jodi and I had appointments on the same day, just a half hour apart. We went together and went to breakfast afterward. Jodi had her appointment first, I went in with her and got to hear her babies heartbeat. She asked her questions and then Dr Fowers said, are we seeing you today, Stephanie. He went and grabbed my chart and I started with the weight and urine sample. I was hoping not to go over a certain number with my weight, but I did this time, by two pounds! Then Jodi came back with me and got to see the ultrasound of the twins. I had gone in with the idea that I was going to have him plan a date to be induced. I didn't even have to ask for a date. He gave me a paper with the date of induction and what to do that day. That date is April 7th!!!!! It is a little later than I wanted, but it is really nice to have, a for sure date when this will end or start, depending on how you look at it. Our little boy is still head down and ready to go, but out little girl is still kinda sideways. He said it was still good enough to deliver normally. He said I will go in that morning and they will start me on pitocin. The closer I get to delivery, they will move me to an OR to deliver. They like to be in there to have everything they need in case of an emergency. They also like it better for twins, because it is bigger. He says there will be about ten people in the room, the Dr, the anesthesiologist, 2 nurses for each baby, a nurse for me, 2 Dr for the babies. I know that doesn't add up to 10, but that is all I can remember. It will all be different experience. Jordan is still planning on coming with us for the delivery. It will hopefully be a good experience for her.
I am dilated to a 1 and 70% effaced. So not much really. Dr Fowers said I would go to April 7th. I have my next appointment on Thursday and Jodi made the appointment for her ultrasound. Her U/S is on April 7th. We are both now looking forward to that day. I told her to come over to the hospital and tell me what she is having.
Jodi and I went to breakfast at Angie's afterwards and had a great time. It made another Dr. appointment a whole lot more fun!

Jordan is 15!!!

Jordan turned 15 on the 15th. We had a party with my side of the family a few weeks ago when they were all up for baby showers. That day Jordan and Kylee both had strep, so they kinda stayed away from everyone and we had Jordan blow out candles on her own piece of cake so she wouldn't contaminate the whole cake. It was sad, but no one else got Strep.
The day before her birthday. Josh's family all came up and I was too lazy to cook and clean or anything else. We all (15, seems to be the number of the day) went to Firehouse pizza for an early dinner. We did open presents at our house afterward and visited for awhile. It was actually really nice to see everyone and not have to worry about feeding everyone or cleaning up. Thanks to all who made the drive.
For her birthday day, Cass and I made her cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk for breakfast. Jordan picked to have roast beast and mashed potatoes and carrots for dinner. I can do crock-pot! We gave her EFY for this summer, a fuzzy jacket she wanted, and a leather I-pod case.
She wants to get her learners permit NOW. We are stalling as long as we can. It really scares me to have her driving. I remember when she was so little. She was the best baby. She is still a really good girl and we love having her in our family!!! Happy Birthday Jordan!!!!

Where did Spring Go?

Monday we woke up to lots of snow. To make it even worse it snowed all day long. Cassady had fun playing out in it, but now wants to know when it will all melt and when Spring will come back. I had some flowers starting to come. Will they survive the 2 feet of snow on top of them.

Where has spring gone and when is it coming back?

More appointment updates

Had my U/S yesterday and appointment with Dr today. Babies are 4lbs 5oz and 4 lbs 4oz. At that size I could have 6lb twins. He is head down and She is a little head down, but more sideways like this (-- Little stinker better be turning head down. That is why I look so lopsided. My left side is definitely bigger. My cervix is still long, so the contractions I have been having have done nothing. The Dr said best pregnancy so far with twins. I am so miserable though. Muscle, ligament, back, leg, rib, skin, butt, and hip pain. Did I forget anything? I feel guilty, but sometimes I wish they would just come now. Four weeks sounds forever away! It doesn't help that I keep thinking they will be born in Spring and then when it actually starts to feel like spring, we wake up to snow. Dr. said today that he is sure I will go to term. As I was leaving the office, I thought what does that mean? Is 37 weeks term? Is 40 weeks Full term? Why do I think of these things after I leave, not while I am sitting there with him. I am sure he won't let me go to 40 weeks. Will he?

Baby Shower!

Baby1yBaby1w
Thanks to Chelcie and Jodi and all the friends we have up here in Cache Valley!!! Due to their generosity, I think we are ready for these babies.
Yesterday, Chelcie and Jodi gave me a shower. In the invitation they asked for people to go in on gifts and we received, a front pack, a pack and play, a baby bouncer, a bath tub, a walker, and 2 little robes for the pool this summer. We got some adorable clothes and diapers and wipes (never can have to much of those)! We also got a name book which I have been looking through, our daughter may have a name before she gets here. I was shocked to have so many people come and give us so much. It was a lot of fun to sit and visit and see some people, I haven't seen in a long time. It was great to see some of my YW.
Of coarse Chelcie had wonderful food. She hand dipped Strawberries in yummy chocolate, which I think Cass had at least 5. Made some really good chicken salad sandwiches on croissants. Some other people brought yummy salads. I am sure there are more people who helped out then I know of.
Thanks to all my wonderful friends who helped and those who came!!!!
I brought my camera to the shower, but as I usually due, I never took a single picture. I needed my Kylee to take pictures, but she and Jordan got Strep Throat and were not able to attend.
