Our Weekend

We started our weekend by pulling the girls out of school on Friday and went down to the Draper Temple open house. We started out at a church and watched a video about temples. We were then loaded on a bus and driven up to the temple. It was a silent tour, meaning we just walked through on our own. It was beautiful.
That night we went to see my new nephew, Baby Carter. He is so cute. We forgot our camera though and have no pictures of it. We took pizza and had a nice time. Cassady and Hayden (my nephew) had so much fun running around playing. They even ran into each other and didn't tell anyone. Cassady has her second black eye from it.
On Saturday we decided to go to Tale of Desperaux with grandma and grandpa. It was a good movie. After the movie, we went stroller shopping. I think a good stroller is going to be really important. It is hard to find one that will work with 2 infant car seats. We think we found though. Now I just have to search the Internet for the best price.
On Sunday we celebrated My dad's 60th, Kirstla's 27th, and Cassady's 5th birthday. Cassady tried to blow out the candles before we sang.
We all went in on a GPS unit grandpa has been wanting. We toasted to Grandpa and his 60 years. The kids thought it was so much fun to have fancy cups and apple cider.
Cassady toasted by practically throwing her cup up in the air. Amazingly, not spilling.

On Monday we went to Build-a-bear. the girls got gift certificates for Christmas to make bears for the babies. They picked out a pink and blue bear. They put in cute little hearts that you can feel beating inside the bears chest. The helper lady put the bears on the machine that fills them with stuffing. Cassady got to step on the pedal to work the machine. After they sew up the bears you take them to a fluffing shower. You get to brush them and shower them with air.

The girls walked up and down isles looking for perfect outfits for the bears. (This is the expensive part.)

Then they took the clothing to dressing stations and got them all dressed up. The girls (still no name) bear was dressed up in a ballerina outfit.

A.J.'s bear was dressed up as a fireman. The lady asked Cass if she knew a fireman. Cass told her, "My grandpa's a fireman, but he got kicked out." We had to explain to Cass that retirement and being kicked out or fired are different things.

All done ready for names!

We then went to a computer to name the bears and get a birth certificate. This bears name was picked by Cass. It is Aleena.

This Bear's name, picked by Jordan and Ky, is Little A.J. After we were all done Jordan and Kylee decided that they were going to make a bear and split the cost and share him. They made a hockey bear. Not sure why,but now they are trying to split custody of him. We had a little money left over on the gift certificates, so we decided to let Cass make her own, and call it one of her birthday presents.
She made a Bunny.

She dressed her up as Tinkerbell. Of coarse the bunny was the most expensive animal there and the Tinkerbell outfit was one of the most expensive. Then she needed shoes.
Cass named her Miss Cutie!
It was a fun experience. We went for 2 bears and left with 4. The ironic thing is that I am always trying to get rid of stuffed animals. This weekend we added 4 more to our endless supply and even worse paid $140 for them. The experiance was worth it though. We did have a lot of fun and Cassady has been inseparable from her new bunny.
We finished up our weekend by meeting Grandma and Grandpa at Cassady's favorite restaurant, Sweet Tomatoes.
I was able to do everything I wanted to, but I was really ready to be home. I was so tired. My back was killing me, but I slept really good for the first time in a long time.
